Liposculpture,

The Art of Beautiful Liposculpture There are a number of key elements to the Art of creating beautiful liposculpture: balance and harmony, the creation of slenderness, attractive flowing contours, smoothness of the skin, skin firmness and an understanding of the liposculpture. Not to mention understanding and satisfying patients desires?

UNDERSTANDING THE SCULPTURE One of the most important elements is to understand the sculpture; that is to understand and satisfy the desires of the patient. To do this the surgeon must take the time to listen to his patient and allow the patient to feel comfortable enough to express his or her fears and desires. In the end, the sculpture is only beautiful if the patient considers it is beautiful. With talent and skill from the surgeon who understands the art’s key elements, beautiful liposculpture results can be created.

Liposuction

The Ultimate Body Sculpting Technique called Liposuction has been added to complement the traditional forms of liposuction.

What is Liposuction?

Liposuction is a surgical procedure designed to remove small  excess fat.

Liposuction complements Tumescent Liposuction. With the Tumescent technique, large volumes of saline solution, local anesthesia, and adrenaline are infused into the area being treated to cause swelling. This enables us to go more superficially under the skin. Liposuction uses high frequency sound waves to liquefy subcutaneous fat cells and facilitate low level aspiration. The ultrasonic energy acts primarily on the fat cells and has no effect on the vascular, nervous, or connective tissues. With Liposuction we can achieve smoother results, remove difficult fibrous fatty deposits and aspirate more fat.

What areas can be treated?

The most frequent areas treated by Liposuction in men are the love handles, abdomen and neckline. In women they include: thighs, hips, buttocks, stomach, knees, lower leg, cheeks and double chins. Some women elect to have their fat recycled to other parts of their body using lipo-augmentation.

Who are the best candidates for Liposuction?

There are no definite weight or age guidelines or restrictions. Most patients have localized fatty deopsits, are within thirty pounds of their ideal weight, and have been stable at that weight for years. The best candidates for body sculpting are patients who:

– Have realistic expectations of the procedure. – Have tried diet, exercise and weight loss programs.

– Are only slightly to moderately overweight. – Understand liposuction is not a weight loss program.

– Have firm, elastic skin and are in good health. – Do not expect dramatic lifestyle changes.

– Have disproportionate areas of localized fat.

What will my recovery be like?

You will wear a snug elastic dressing, girdle, or body stocking over the treated are for the next several weeks. You will go home after the procedure and rest for at least 24 hours, after which you may gradLiposuctionly increase your activity as tolerated. After 2 or 3 days you may resume non-strenous activities.

Will I need a second procedure?

Most likely one procedure will be sufficient. However, some patients require a fine- tuning procedure at a future date.

How are the benefits of Liposuction measured?

Cosmetically speaking, successful Liposuction is measured in inches rather than pounds. The weight removed is not as important as the improvement in your body’s contour. Most important is our patient’s improved self-image and self- acceptance.

How will my skin look after surgery?

Dimples, ripples and stretch marks remain unchanged. The changes following liposuction are similar to what you would expect if you could lose an equal amount of localized fat through diet and exercise alone. The use of smaller cannula allows the fibrous connections between your skin and body to remain. These connections will contract over time. As a result, excessive skin folds are so rare that many patients avoid the necessity for surgical skin excision by having excellent results with Liposuction alone.

Is the fat removal permanent?

Yes! It seems that after puberty we do not create new fat cells. When you gain weight, you expand the fat cells that you have. Tumescent liposuction permanently removes fat cells to improve your body’s contour. Should you gain weight after liposuction, it goes to the fat cells that remain in your body. The localized fatty deposits that existed prior to liposuction can no longer balloon up out of proportion to the surrounding areas.

Will Liposuction get rid of cellulite?

Liposuction is not a treatment for cellulite, although many patients do notice an improvement in the appearance of cellulite after the fat cells are removed.

Lipo- injection, Fat Transplantation

Today, through modern technology, a variety of procedures are available to correct skin defects such as deep furrows and wrinkles as well as other areas in which depressions in the skin exist. One such procedure, autologous (derived from the same individual) Fat Transplantation, also called fat transfer, is currently being used to recontour the face, enhance the cheek and chin, correct facial or body deformities, and more recently, as a breast augmentation procedure.

Face Lift

The only areas of the face itself on which liposuction can be performed safely are the jowls, which are those fatty accumulations on the lower jaw line 2-3 cm on each side of the midline and also the adjacent area of the face over the lower jaw. This is usually combined with liposuction of the double chin area immediately beneath the central lower jaw line. Removing fatty deposits from these areas can produce aesthetically clean lines the whole of the lower jaw area and completely rejuvenate the appearance.

Lip augmentation

The most common fillers are collagen, hyaluronic acid and autologous fat (one’s own fat). They all need to be repeated but those who use them are willing to accept this because of the good effects, In fact, their temporary nature can be an advantage in avoiding the problems of misplacement of the use of excessive amounts of a permanent filler. Even when a proper amount of a permanent filler is placed accurately, with the change of shape of the soft tissues produced by gravity with the passage of time the filler may eventually be in an inappropriate position. Collagen is mainly used as a filler for wrinkles, whereas the hyaluronic acid products and fat are used for grooves and depressions, All can be used for enhancing the lops. Transferring one’s own fat to the facial areas can be of particular use in the lops and cheeks, Even given a good technique, the repose to fat transfer can still be very individual. In some instances the fat still disappear within a period of 6 weeks. In the best scenario, some residual fat will remain after some months. Realistically it as recommended as a procedure that needs to be repeated.
